ARTISTS BIOGS

Gary Miller hails from Hamilton in Lanarkshire, he’s a singer songwriter who’s been plying and finessing his trade up and down the country for years and has been lucky enough to support and open for such fantastic and diverse artists as; Peter Case, Steve Poltz, Tom Hingley, Kieran Halpin, JJ Gilmour, Eleanor McEvoy, Lee Patterson and many more.
He’s a hard working, earnest artist who unashamedly accepts the terms ‘heartfelt writer’ and ‘serious acoustic performer’ as descriptions of his craft.
He recently independently released an acoustic solo album ‘The Waiting Day’ and is presently finishing recording his second album ‘Friday Night Cowboys’ for release early in 2017.

Josh Fraser is an up and coming Singer/Songwriter from North Ayrshire, Scotland.
Although Josh hasn’t yet released a record, he is now ready to record his debut EP as a solo artist.
At 20 years old, Josh has recently graduated university with a BA (hons) in Audio Production. From a young age he has been training hard to pursue a professional career in Music. Josh has been taught and mentored by many established artists such as Classical Guitarist
“Matthew McAllister” and Jazz Guitarist “Malcolm MacFarlane” during his time studying at the “Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland”.Josh has been fortunate enough to have a family who have always supported and encouraged him in his musical ambitions. Being a pastors kid, Josh has grew up playing guitar and leading worship in his family’s church. He sees his experience playing in church as one of the most influential and grounding factor to both his musical and character development. This influence is noticed through his songs and lyrics.
His music is also very much inspired by artists such as Ryan Adams, Foy Vance, Young The Giant and James Bay.
Over the last 2 years Josh has focussed on further developing his craft as a solo artist in both his live performance and songwriting/production skills. He plays Guitar for various artists which has led to opportunities to play shows all over Scotland, as well as in America where he performed in Nashville, Georgia, and Florida.

Reverieme [‘ɾɛvɛɾi’mi] is Louise Connell, which is moot because you don’t know who that is (it’s also a made-up word, and an as-yet hypothetical household appliance brand name). Reverieme writes and plays music that’s melancholic and hopeful and dark and insular and inquiring and is much better communicated through sound waves than it is through adjectives.
Louise eats books – not literally, not yet – and her music is, inevitably, influenced by myriad different novels, plays, poems and stories. Reverieme also has innumerable musical inspirations, from Kimya Dawson, Jenny Lewis, Amanda Palmer and Regina Spektor to Grizzly Bear, Arcade Fire, Of Montreal and Animal Collective; the common thread amongst all of which being the ability to create songs that punch you in the stomach and make you feel like you’re about to jump off a high diving board (while you inexplicably love it).

Rab Wilson was born in the Ayrshire village of New Cumnock in 1960. After an engineering apprenticeship with the National Coal Board he left the pits following the miner’s strike of 1984-5 to become a psychiatric nurse.
His first main published work was his version in Scots of the famous medieval Persian work The Ruba’iyat of Omar Khayyam; this was followed by three collections of his own poetry ‘chiefly in the Scots language’. He has collaborated with the artist Hugh Bryden in adaptations of Horace’s satires in Scots, and with Calum Colvin in a book of responses to Robert Burns. He has edited an anthology of contemporary poetry from Dumfries and Galloway writers; and written a series of poems as the first James Hogg Creative Resident.
‘Rab is currently Scots Scriever in Residence at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway, Ayr’
