It is with great regret that South Beach Sessions along with all of the artistes booked to perform have agreed that the necessary course of action is to postpone the events planned for Troon Concert Hall between 10th to 12th September and roll them over to September 2022. We have discussed all of the issues with the bands and it is with great disappointment but unanimity that given the situation postponement was the only decision available.
JJ Gilmour and all artists have agree to move their performance to the new dates in 2022.
The organisers confirmed the cancellation today (Wednesday 25th August) and added the following statement,
“It has become increasingly clear that the difficulties in organising events – particularly indoor ones – are still with us. It has become clear that many of our regular concert goers were just not ready to buy a ticket for an enclosed venue and when we take into account the number of logistical issues relating to staff, supplies and even security it has lead to the difficult decision that postponement was the best course of action.”
“All tickets are covered by South Beach Sessions’ “Rock n Rollover Guarantee” meaning that tickets will be valid for the re-arranged 2022 dates. We would ask that ticket holders consider holding onto their tickets for next year but we understand that this may not be possible for everyone and refunds will be offered. All ticket monies are secured by Skiddle, our ticket retailer – your funds are safe!”
The new dates for 2022 are as follows
Donnie Munro and JJ Gilmour – Saturday 10th September 2022 (Donnie is provisional and subject to final confirmation)
Ticket refunds will be available from Noon on 25th August 2021 for four weeks and the 2022 tickets will be on sale in September with the extended line up for all events. Any tickets purchased will be honoured at the CURRENT prices even if the events are expanded as we plan to include a larger line up over each day of each.
We need to be up front about the situation, live music promoters have been as badly hit as anyone over the past 18 months with no revenues and very little support. It is really important to the bands, promoters, and venues that fans support gigs again so that we can keep events Live and Local. If you can hold onto your ticket we would be really grateful as the cost of marketing these events two and three times over is a killer in terms of costs!.
It’s of small comfort but we would like to thank the volunteers who have again stepped up to the mark to distribute leaflets for us in the past two weeks. Your help is as ever greatly appreciated and we couldn’t do this without you all.
Thank you again for your support and understanding.
